Mission Statement
The Area 15 Technology Committee supports the primary purpose of Alcoholics
Anonymous by providing guidance, resources, and technical services that help Area 15,
its committees, districts, and trusted servants carry the message to the alcoholic who
still suffers. The committee promotes the effective, secure, and responsible use of
technology in accordance with the Twelve Traditions, Twelve Concepts for World
Service, and applicable A.A. service guidelines.
The committee serves as a resource for technology-related matters, supports Area
communication and collaboration platforms, facilitates hybrid and virtual meeting
participation, and encourages the sharing of experience among District technology
servants throughout Area 15. This mission is derived from Motion 868 (01/2025)
establishing the committee.
