Area 15 Terms of Use

All audio/video recordings on the area15aa.org website are for personal use only. Reproduction, distribution and commercial use are not permitted.
Personal use
Guidelines for acceptable use:
- If a download option is provided, saving a single copy to your device for personal use is acceptable.
These usages are not allowed:
- If a download option is not provided, otherwise acquiring copies or re-recording is not acceptable use.
- Editing or taking a brief excerpt from a recording is not permitted as this might lead to the presenter’s message being taken out of context.
- Use of Area15 recordings is not permitted for any commercial use, including direct sales, availability by subscription, or as content on an advertising supported platform. This also applies to providing a direct link to an Area 15 recording as part of a commercially available collection.
- Posting Area 15 recordings in social media or on other websites is not permitted. However, providing web links to Area 15 web pages, including those with recordings, is permitted.
Other original material on the Area 15 website
The following materials are meant to be printed and distributed among A.A. members with no further restrictions:
- Flyers announcing meetings, events, conferences or assemblies
- Documents on the Resource Documents page
The following materials are restricted and may be accessed by and distributed among A.A. members only:
- Business meeting or committee meeting minutes
- Financials, including the annual budget and Treasurer’s reports
- Login information for our virtual meetings
- Any other items accessed through password protected pages or folders
The following materials may be distributed only in their entirety unless permission is obtained from Area 15 or the author of the material. However, these may be used in part by Area15 trusted servants in presentations, flyers or emails for the purpose of conducting Area15 business or informing A.A. members about General Service or Area 15 and its activities.
- Current practice documents
- Presentations such as slideshows accompanying recordings or Delegate Report-backs
- Booklets such as “Our Beginnings” or the Area 15 Remote Communities Workbook
